The COVID-19 virus outbreak forced Vince McMahon to move WrestleMania from Tampa, FL. to the Performance Center in Orlando. The outbreak also caused several performers, most notably Roman Reigns, to skip this year’s Show of Shows. With that this will be the 1st WrestleMania to be held without fans in attendance. This will also be the 1st WrestleMania to be held over two nights.
And now… the predictions:
The Undercard Matches(IMO):
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler – Who wins: Otis gets his revenge on Dolph… and Mandy Rose.
Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley(w/Lana) – Who wins: Black.
Elias vs. King Corbin – Who wins: King Corbin.
RAW Tag Team Championship: The Street Profits(c) vs. Austin Theory & Angel Garza – Who wins: The Street Profits. This is the perfect team to carry the tag division on RAW.
Women’s Tag Team Championship: The Kabuki Warriors(c) vs. Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss – Who wins: The Kabuki Warriors…. and Alexa finally turns on Nikki.
The Main Card
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Ladder Match:
The Miz & John Morrison(c) vs. The New Day vs. The Usos
The tag champs have been insufferable and arrogant since they won the tag titles from The New Day at Super Showdown. This became a triple threat tag match when the champs interfered in the #1 contender’s match between The New Day & Usos. Now Miz & Morrison must be forced to defend their titles in a ladder match.
Who wins: The Miz & Morrison retain the titles.
Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn(c) vs. Daniel Bryan
The leader of the Yes! Movement is looking to regain the IC title against Sami Zayn. Zayn certainly feels a sort of way toward Bryan since he rejected Zayn’s offer to join his alliance with Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura. Add that to the fact the faction also took offense to Bryan joining forces with Drew Gulak and now you have a combustible mix.
Who wins: Daniel Bryan. He will be the one to help bring the IC title back to prominence.
SmackDown Women’s Championship Fatal 5-Way:
Bayley(c) vs. Naomi vs. Tamina vs. Lacey Evans vs. Sasha Banks
Bayley has enjoyed a nearly year long reign with the SmackDown title, turned heel, joined forces with her bestie Sasha Banks and have run roughshod over just about everyone in the division. That all may be coming to an end as Paige announced a 6-Pack challenge for the title. Dana Brooke would drop out due to COVID-19 concerns leaving this a fatal five-way. Naomi is looking for revenge having recently lost a title shot at Super ShowDown. Lacey Evans wants revenge for the way Bayley & Banks have tortured her over the months. Tamina has made emphatic statements in the last 2 weeks. The biggest question is whether Bayley & Sasha’s friendship can withstand this challenge.
Who wins: Sasha Banks. This betrayal has been a long time coming… and the payoff will be sweet.
Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens
The Monday Night Messiah has made Kevin Owens life a living hell over the past few months. Since Seth’s heel turn, he’s turned himself into a messiah who feels nothing would exist without his “revolution”. Rollins is under the belief that he, and only he alone, can make RAW great. If you’re not with him and his disciples, there will be consequences. Owens is out to show that Rollins is not a messiah but rather a fraud.
Who wins: Seth Rollins. Something tells me someone will join Rollins to help topple Owens.
Boneyard Match: The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles
AJ Styles made two mistakes during this run to WrestleMania. One… he dared to challenge The Undertaker to a match at the Showcase of the Immortals. The second, and probably more damaging, mistake is AJ Styles brought The Undertaker’s wife, Michelle McCool, into the mix making this match all the more personal. This just won’t be any match — it will be a Boneyard Match(whatever that is). This promises to be physical and brutal.
Who wins: The Undertaker
Firefly Funhouse Match: ‘The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena
Six years ago John Cena ended the white hot streak Bray Wyatt was on when they clashed at WrestleMania 30. Since that time Cena has enjoyed becoming a Hollywood superstar since that time and even added a 16th WWE title reign to his resume. Wyatt went from must see to who cares but that all changed when he debuted his new gimmick in 2019. Wyatt became a Mr. Rogers/Mr. Hyde hybrid. One side is a fun-loving man who makes silly children’s shows. The other side is a fiendish, evil soul that wishes to destroy. Wyatt hasn’t forgotten Cena’s win back in 2014. He wants revenge.
Who wins: The Fiend Bray Wyatt
Universal Championship: Goldberg(c) vs. Braun Strowman
This was supposed to be Spear vs. Spear. Superman punch vs. Jackhammer… but then Roman Reigns pulled out of WrestleMania citing concerns over his compromised immune system(Good for Reigns choosing his health over a payday). That left WWE scrambling to try find an opponent for newly minted champion Goldberg. Enter Braun Strowman… out of nowhere. He just lost the IC title at Elimination Chamber to in a handicap match to Sami Zayn. This match was literally announced the night before the Show of Shows is set to start. Who knows what will happen?
Who wins: Who knows? I hope it’s Strowman.
NXT Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley(c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Who knew when Charlotte Flair won the 2020 Royal Rumble match that this would be the end result yet here we are. This will mark the first time any NXT title will be defended on the Showcase of the Immortals. Once Charlotte declared her intentions at NXT TakeOver: Portland, this became a marquee matchup. Ripley is a bonafide star who was able to the one to unseat Shayna Baszler for the title. Charlotte’s resume & 10 title reigns speak for itself. She is the gold standard. Rhea has a chance to cement her young legacy by knocking off arguably the greatest women’s wrestler in WWE history.
Who wins: Rhea Ripley
Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch(c) vs. Shayna Baszler
Ever since these two women were featured in the champion vs. champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series back in November it felt as though these two would be on a collision course. That became reality when Baszler destroyed everyone in front of her at the Elimination Chamber to become the #1 contender for the RAW women’s title. Baszler presents a new challenge for The Man. She’s a grappler who doesn’t just want to beat you: she wants to maim you. Baszler wants to make people suffer. This will be Becky Lynch’s stiffest challenge since beating Ronda Rousey & Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35. One has to wonder if The Man’s yearlong reign comes to an abrupt end.
Who wins: Baszler. It’s time. Don’t be surprised if Rousey is there to give an assist to The Queen of Spades.
Last Man Standing Match: Randy Orton vs. Edge
Words won’t do this feud justice so here goes a fan-made promos courtesy of The System:

Who wins: Edge
WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar(c) w/ Paul Heyman vs. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre started the year by eliminating WWE champion Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble and then won the whole damn match. He wasted no time in deciding who he wanted to face at WrestleMania 36 – Brock Lesnar. And so the main event is set… and who better to hype you up for this match than the great Paul Heyman:

Who wins: Drew McIntyre wins the WWE Championship.
You are killing it. You have to come on my pod sometime.
